The monks soon beheld, on the lofty Ben -More,
A sight which they never had seen before,
A belt of blue lightning around it was driven,
And its crown was encircled by morion of heaven;
And they heard a herald that loud did cry,
“Prepare the way for the abbot of I!”

Ben is a Highland term, and denotes a mountain of a pyramidal form, which stands unconnected with others.
