54. To Mr. Francis Lenton, refusing wine.

Dost thou endeavour (Franke) to leave thy drink
That made thee such high raptures write & think?
Or art a weary of the Muses? for
What els could make thee Phœbus Sack abhor?
It is our grief, our mourning, and thy shame,
That the Queenes Poet, and a man of name,
Should drive Apollo from his breast with a
Fine glass of six shillings, or a dish of Whey.
Redress our sorrows, and return again
To wine, and make thy head like Charles his wain.
