Epigr. 37.

Matho in wealth and ease, at libertye,
Expresseth neither witt nor honesty.
But is secure and idle, dull and vaine,
His pleasures man, and his sweete fortunes swayne,
But when he is awakt with misery.
With executions, and pouertie.
When he is quite vndonne and nothing worth.
Then like a viper his witt crawleth foorth.
