“And I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: and they sung as it were a new song before the throne.” Rev xiv 2. 3.

Oh, that with me the blissful spell,
That soul of music, might indwell,
Which sets all strife and sin afar,
And in its orbit holds each star!
For what is music but, to sense
Express'd in wondrous eloquence,
That peace no heart can tell below,
And which the wicked ne'er shall know.
