HYMN 98. A Hymn on the answer of Prayers, out of the Psalms.

1

To render thanks unto the Lord,
how great a cause have I;
My Voice, my Pray'r, and my Complaint,
he heard most readily.

Psal. 28 6.

2

Thou art my Strength, thou art my stay,
O Lord, I sing to Thee:
Thou art my Fort, my Fence and Aid,
a loving God to me.

Psal. 59. 17.

3

What thing is there that I can wish,
but Thee, in Heav'n above;
And in the Earth, there is, Lord, none
like Thee, that I can Love.

Psal. 73. 25.

4

For why, the Well of Life so pure,
doth ever flow from Thee;
And in thy Light we are full sure,
thy lasting Light to see.

Psal. 35. 9.

5

My Heart would faint but that in me
my Faith is fixed fast;
Thy goodness in the Earth I see,
which doth for ever last.

Psal. 25 13.

For this God is our God, and he
will ever so abide;
He is our God, and he will be
to Death, our sure Guide.

Psal. 48. 13
