The sly Freebooters of the Earth
Open their ranks, to welcome in
The youngest Race God brought to birth,
By serpent reasons lured to sin.
“Peace and goodwill”—the promise failed
As soon as made, erased with gore;
And once again the Christ is haled
Behind the reeking wheels of War!
