HEARTS.—Impromp. to a Lady
Yes! it were well,—unless she meant us
To make so much ado about them,—
If Nature in this world had sent us
One and all alike without them.
To make so much ado about them,—
If Nature in this world had sent us
One and all alike without them.
For now they here so strangely fall
One knows not how or where to choose them,
To some they seem not given at all,
To others only lent to lose them.
One knows not how or where to choose them,
To some they seem not given at all,
To others only lent to lose them.
