Brown Honored

Frederick L. Brown, Professor
Emeritus of Physics, was honored at the
1971 annual meeting of the Southeastern
Section of the American Physical Society
for outstanding achievement in teaching
at the University.

Professor Brown taught at the
University from 1922 till his retirement
in 1961. His principal duties included
teaching general physics to engineering
undergraduates, supervising the
laboratory instruction for all
undergraduates, and editing the
laboratory manual used in these courses.
