Personal, business, and miscellaneous correspondence and documents of this black Arlington County resident who was active in community organizations such as the church and the YMCA. Included are scrapbooks, clippings, and photographs. There are documents pertaining to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Alexandria, such as the 1884-92 minutes of the Mt. Zion choir and the 1925-31 dues register as well as materials on the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows, which had its origin in Freedman's Village in Alexandria. (Acc. 86.3)
