Elzinga Named
In the College, three new
association deans have been named.
Kenneth Elzings, assistant professor
of economics, will be taking
over the Page-Emmet association,
while Fred Diehl, assistant
professor of biology will be
counseling the members of the
Echols-Humphreys association.
Harry Gamble, a visiting professor
of religion, will be in charge of
special scholars. All of the
association deans and Irby Cauthen,
dean of the College, have a very
optimistic outlook toward the
coming year, calling this year's
entering class "one of the finest" in
the history of the University.
Dean Cauthen added that the
University has adjusted to the new
curriculum and that the association
deans will be stressing the
flexibility of the curriculum when
conferring with the incoming
first-year students.
