CAUSE OF THE GAIN AND LOSS OF FRIENDS.

Are riches thine, or does thy wealth encrease,
Then honour's thine, and thousands wish the peace:
But art thou poor, or are thy riches flown,
Then Friendship flies, and every friend will frown!
