LIBERTY AND BONDAGE.
I
'Tis not who buys me is my Lord;Nor who is sold the slave:
But He whose right's to give the word,
Such the dominion have.
II
Then I may be, tho' I am sold,A true-born son and free:
The bondage is not mine, nor gold
The price of Liberty.
III
What is it then that bondage makes,Or what can set me free?
Whatever hand your fetters breaks,
And speaks your Jubilee.
IV
But whose is that, I want to know,And what his secret name?
I'll tell you, as you want to go:
'Tis I—behold the Lamb!
