HYMN.

HONOUR'D seraph! here art thou,
Near th'Almighty known to stand!
Tender beauty on thy brow!
Grace in thy extended hand!
Morning's ray is not so clear,
As thine eye's more cheering flame;
Words of thine wake rapture's tear,
And Forgiveness is thy name.

Kindest of the quire above!
When the contrite dead arise,
All thy charms of christian love
Burst upon their blissful eyes.
Honour'd seraph! brave and free
Thou abjur'st resentment's rod;
Man must yield his heart to thee,
If he would be true to God.
