Like England's Prince to crown with eulogy
All those who live for God and man, who die
As Damien died—no barren death or vain.
Son of old Scottish kings in tartan clad
That chased the stag through woods of Calydon,
Were crowned at Scone, in Holyrood held sway,
Those kings, that martyr-priest in faith were one!
They heard thy words in Heaven. She most was glad
Thine ancestress who bled at Fotheringay.
