The tidings to Segestes; but this soldier
Safe to my hands deliver'd it.

To raise the siege! It is Segestes
That sent his lying arrow through the air,
In hopes by false intelligence to check
The ardour of our troops, and save from ruin,
From certain ruin yon devoted walls.
