The village semstress, summon'd straight,
Attends the critical debate—
Hears caps, and cloaks, and gowns discust,
Sees treasures rummaged from their dust—
Flounce, stomacher and furbelow,
Would arch an antiquary's brow,
And prove (whate'er be now the passion),
Eve has not always led the fashion.
