A Private Life affords a luscious Feast,
When Innocence and Virtue warms our Breast:
But when ambitious Thoughts inflame our Hearts,
And we turn Great by little sneaking Arts;
We split on Rocks, or founder in the Sand,
Good Men record us Rogues, we're hated thro' the Land.
