Presidential Salary

Council Vice-President Hugh Antrim, who
ran on a different ticket than Mr. Mannix last
year, also was smiling when asked for his
reaction. "Now I know why Kevin passed the
motion to give the President a huge salary next
year, a room on the Lawn and a subscription to
The Chronicle of Higher Education," Mr.
Antrim said, impishly.

Last month, Mr Mannix broke two tie votes
and in effect decided himself to pay the
Council President $750 for his services.

When phoned for comment, D. Alan
Williams, Vice-President for Student Affairs,
was reported to be sick in the bathroom.
However, sources inside the Student Affairs
office hinted that Mr. Williams has initiated a
full-scale investigation of the law school's
admissions staff.

Monrad Paulsen, dean of the law school
refused comment.
