Original Motion

Mr. Ogle's original motion provided
for the allocation of the
funds raised by the increase by the
Student Council, in conjunction
with the appropriate faculty and
administrative officials. There was
some opposition to the entire
motion, based on the lack of actual
support for the program. Gene
Angle argued "How can we pass
this if we can't even raise the
money ourselves?" referring to the
failure of most council members to
raise the money for the fund that
they had pledged.

Henry Doggrell said, "I hate to
see us tell the student body to shell
out $2.50 whether you like it or
not. By what authority can we do
this?" Mr. Doggrell said that he was
in favor of the program on a
contributory basis.
