The Department of Buildings and Grounds reports that the blighted soil of the Lawn has been graded, loosened, and enriched with sand, fertilizers, and top soil and is now being planted with seed which will produce a lavish crop of Kentucky Blue Grass. In addition, brick walkways have been built to minimize traffic across the young grass. The restoration process was complicated requiring a month's work, but it is final and will hopefully produce a great improvement.
