NAMING OF MEDICAL RESEARCH BUILDING 6

WHEREAS, the Beirne Carter Foundation has made generous gifts over the years in support of immunology research at the University of Virginia; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Rossie Carter Hutchison and the Beirne Carter Foundation together have made a very generous contribution toward the construction of Medical Research Building 6; and

WHEREAS, the Harrison Family Foundation, among its numerous benefactions to the University, has committed significant funds toward the construction of Medical Research Building 6;

RESOLVED, the Board of Visitors names Medical Research Building 6 the Carter-Harrison Research Building, and thanks Mrs. Hutchison, the Beirne Carter Foundation and the Harrison Family Foundation for their generosity and support.
