PROMOTIONS

The following resolution was adopted:

RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia
that the following promotions be and they are hereby made:

Dr. Harry S. Abram, Instructor, to Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, for three years, effective
1 July 1964.

Dr. Miller S. Allen, Jr., Assistant Professor, to Associate Professor of Pathology, effective
1 July 1964.

Dr. Stuart H. Bartle, Instructor, to Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, for three years,
effective 1 July 1964.

Mr. Lester A. Beaurline, Assistant Professor, to Associate Professor of English, effective
1 September 1964.

Mr. David M. Bevington, Assistant Professor, to Associate Professor of English, effective
1 September 1964, at a session salary of $9,900.

Mr. Robert V. Coleman, Associate Professor, to Professor of Physics, effective 1 September 1964.

Mr. David H. Davis, Assistant Professor, to Associate Professor of Music, effective 1 September
1964.

Dr. John S. Davis, IV, Instructor, to Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine and Assistant
Professor of Internal Medicine, for three years, effective 1 July 1964.

1 September 1964, at a session salary of $10,900, of which $1,000 is to be paid from local funds.

Dr. Eugene A. Foster, Assistant Professor, to Associate Professor of Pathology, effective 1 July
