Bookstores,
Exchange
Doors

The University bookstores
are open again with a large
stock of books. For the first
time, hardback textbooks will
be on sale in the Newcomb
Hall bookstore, thus alleviating
the problems caused and the
prices resulting from the
Corner bookstores' monopoly
on the texts last year.

The Newcomb Hall
bookstore, located on the first
floor, stocks books at the
request of individual
professors. Lists of the
required books of most classes
are also available, although students
are advised not to buy books until
they have attended class in order to
ascertain the exact study material
requirements.

The Union of University
Students will once again operate
their used book and record
exchange in the basement of
Newcomb Hall.

Students who have used
books name their own prices
(usually ranging from 50-75% off
retail cost) and bring them to the
exchange. If and when the books
are sold, the money is turned over
to the student minus a ten cent
surcharge.
