Summer Session
The Preliminary Announcement of the 1970 Summer Session is now
available at the Summer Session office in Garrett Hall. The complete
summer catalogue with descriptions of courses and class schedules will
be ready after the middle of March.
The dates of the regular eight-week summer session will be from
June 22 to August 15. The Educational intersession will extend from
June 15 to July 3, and will be followed by the Six-week session from
July 6 to August 15.
Students currently enrolled in the spring semester who expect to
attend Summer session should fill out the card indicating intent to
register in summer session. These cards may be picked up at the
Summer Session office and should be filed before May 1 for
pre-registration in the two-week period from May 11 to 22.
The intent to register card is not a registration card and does not
commit the student in any way. Its purpose is to enable the Data
Processing Center to prepare in advance the cards needed for
registration, and to speed up the registration process. Those in doubt as
to summer plans are asked to turn in the cards if there exists any
reasonable possibility that they may attend the summer session or be a
candidate for a degree in August. Failure to submit the INTENT card in
advance may entail delay in the registration line for the student
concerned.
Students taking work only through Extension centers or branch
colleges, and others not currently enrolled in the University, must
submit an application on the green form stapled in the Preliminary
Announcement.
