Circuit Court Judge David F.
Berry to relieve them and other
students of supporting a
publication with which they
disagreed.
The plaintiffs asked Judge
Berry to issue an injunction
against the Weekly "and its
successors" until after the
case's trial in November.
However, the paper had
announced its plans to cease
publication.
The newspaper was
published by University
students and non-students, and
began in March 1967. labeling
itself a "liberal intellectual
journal."
In 1969 the Weekly began to
"struggle for a working class
point of view," staff members
said,
