co-captain of the track team and a
defensive end on the football team,
has been named winner of the John
Jay Polzer Memorial Trophy in
honor of the Virginia athlete with

given annually by the managing
staff of the Cavalier Daily.

Clemson University, according to
athletic director Frank Howard.

The Student Athletic Council
has held its elections for next year's
officers. The new president is Jack

secretary is Mike Sorenson, next
year's captain of the soccer team.
The council has also resolved that
all future complaints levied against
the athletic department will be filed
through the council first.

chosen by this year's cheerleading
squad in the spring tryouts. They
are Roger Herrigel, Henry Bowden,
Hal Bogard, Jeff Podesta, Bobby
