Bibent Goes
To CSU
Virginia's defensive backfield
coach. Maury Bibent, will take the
defensive coordinator position on
Colorado State's football staff.
Coach Bibent came to Virginia
in 1967 from the University of
Michigan where he had been an
assistant to the Wolverine freshman
football staff. His college career was
spent at Florida State where he
played defensive back. In his senior
year, 1966. SU defeated Oklahoma
in the Gator Bowl.
The position left vacant by
Coach Bibent will probably be
filled by the Cavayearling coach,
Bill Clay, who played his collegiate
football at .
After the 1968 season another
one of Coach Blackburn's assistants,
Be Wilson, took a step up to
the head coaching position at
Wichita State.
Coach Bibent is in Colorado
discussing the terms of his new job
and could not be reached for
comment.
