Harris Athlete of the Year

Zete Captures IM Cup

In a release issued yesterday
from the Intramural office, Zeta Psi
was named the winner of the High
Point Championship. Zete hung on
through the arduous spring
campaign and chalked up 1841
points overall, finishing ahead of St.
Anthony's and Phi Kap in second
and third place respectively.

St. A has a 1788 total with Phi
Kap scoring 1688, although the
final points for these two teams
could be altered by as much as 36
points depending on the outcome
of the badminton tourney. The
1841 total for Zete is final,
however, and that organization has
indeed clinched the IM crown.

Tyler Harris, a third-year
member of Zeta Psi has been
elected the recipient of the IM
Athlete of the Year award. Among
his credits, Harris played on the
championship football and
volleyball teams, lost in the finals
of the three-man basketball
competition, reached the fourth
round of the tennis doubles, the
third round of the handball singles
(the fourth round of the doubles),
the fourth round of the badminton
singles, and managed to qualify for
the putt-putt tournament.

Tom Blanchard, a Phi Delt, has
been selected as the Senior Manager
for the 1969-70 season.

Only the badminton tournament
has yet to be concluded. The singles
competition has reached the
semi-finals, where Stokes Grymes
(Phi Kap) meets Lee Hilbert (St.
A.), and Bob Green (DKE) faces
Russ Ketcham (Phi Kap). The
doubles contest leaves only the
final match on the agenda; Russ
Ketcham and Hugh Antrim (Phi
Kap) square off against Pat Lawson
and Dave Turner (St. A.) to
complete the draw sheet.
