Sex Fair Called 'Cheap Circus'

Sex Fair Called
'Cheap Circus'

Reprinted from
The New York Times

COPENHAGEN, Denmark,
March 20 The world's second sex
fair is a failure, according to Danish
newspapers.

The fair, which opened yesterday
in Odense, has 48 trade stands
plastered with pornographic pictures.
The exhibition hall was half
empty most of the night, although
a special nightclub where paid
models performed the sex act in
public was packed for every performance.

"We have been made a laughing
stock, folks, at least we have if we
pay the 12.5 kroner [$1.70] that it
costs to attend the so-called sex
fair," said Ekstrabladet, a popular
Copenhagen tabloid. "You would
have to look a long time before
finding anything to match this for a
cheap circus."
