Support Asked For Poor March
By Council On Human Relations

"Contributions are urgently
needed from University students
and faculty to provide food and
shelter for the Poor People's
March on Washington," said
Robert Yuhnke yesterday.

Mr. Yuhnke, President of the
Martin Luther King, Jr. chapter
of the Virginia Council on Human
Relations, stated that so far,
"faculty and students have contributed
very little to the march."

"The poor people in Washington
are marching for us. They
march for justice and equal opportunity.
They march to feed
the 10,000,000 starving in America
today. They march to secure
a decent future for our children
and to protect our nation from
increased violence this summer."
