Counselors Confer

The Department of
Guidance and Counselor
Education will hold a Guidance
Conference tomorrow from 9
a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the
Newcomb Hall Ballroom.

The conference planned for
educators and counselors, will
include a panel discussion of
"Women on Campus" by
Annette Gibbs, associate dean
of students, and several
University students. The
discussion will take place at
11:15 a.m. in the ballroom.

President Edgar F. Shannon
will speak to the group at 9:45
a.m. and S. Norman Feingold,
national director of the B'nai
B'rith Vocational Service, will
deliver the keynote address.
Conference meetings on
various aspects of education
and counseling will follow the
addresses.

Chess Match

Student chess players scored
a 5-1 victory over a faculty
team in the University's 1971
Faculty-Student Chess Match
held Sunday in Newcomb Hall
Ballroom.

The students won four of
their games against the
instructors and graduate
assistants who participated,
and there were two draws.

Several spectators attended
the match, in which the
student players lost no games
to their faculty opponents,
who were favored to win the
competition.
