New Coaches

champion Woodson, and he was
named to the All-Gunston team and
served as co-captain. Hammond's
Mike Mahoney, a 6-5, 200 product,
quarterbacked his senior year and
was an offensive end on the 1969
team, which won the Northern
District. Mahoney also plays varsity
basketball.

Other recent additions include
Bobby Pippin, fullback-linebacker,
from Wise; Robert Mead, tackle,
from Pound; Steve Bowler,
linebacker, from a Hampton High
squad which has won 21 games in
the last two seasons.

Two prime out-of-state recruits
are Pete Cheviot (N.Y.) and Doug
Parcells (N.J.) Cheviot played for
Seton Hall High School in
Patchogue (Long Island), N.Y. This
6-1, 205 running back amassed 153
points in his senior year. Parcells,
from Oradell, N.J., helped
Riverdale Regional High to a
sectional title from his offensive
tackle slot.
