ZTA Guides Way
For Future Sororities
Robert Fisher, President of the
Interfraternity Council, feels that
the groups have a good chance,
unless the University starts
providing new social outlets for
students. "A poor past (for
sororities) is no indication of a poor
future," he says.
Mr. Fisher feels that the
presence of Greek organizations at
large institutions "case the social
situation." He emphasizes the fact
that his views on sororities are
based on the existence of a
psychology similar to that of the
fraternities.
Dean Whitney, Miss Cox, and
Mr. Fisher all view the future of
sororities in an optimistic way. As
Miss Cox says, "It can be successful
- if the girls want it." The sorority
system will certainly be tested at
the University.
