Interviews Offered
By Placement Office

Minor Hall is probably best
known as the location of the
University's department of drama
and the Little Theatre, site of
Virginia Players' productions.

But tucked away in the north
corner is the office of placement,
the organization responsible for
helping graduating students find
jobs after June.

During the year, hundreds of
companies schedule interviews at
the University through the placement
service.

A weekly list is published in
advance notifying students of the
companies that are planning to
have representatives on the
grounds to interview persons interested
in employment.

With the placement season
beginning next week, the office
has held two orientation sessions
to acquaint students with the
services it offers.

Under the direction of Dorothy
de S. L. Neville, the office
provides information on each
company and an appointment list
for students wishing to schedule
an interview.

Students who are interested in
taking advantage of the placement
office's services should visit
the office in Room 5 of Minor
Hall and pick up the necessary
forms, which must be filled out
and returned to that office.

In order to schedule interviews,
students must sign up by
5 p.m. Thursday of the week
preceding the interview.
