Wallace's Crowd
Uses Polo Field
For Standing Up

Refused permission to speak
in Albemarle Stadium, George
Wallace is now asking his would-be
audience to "Stand Up For
America" in the Brookfield Farm
polo field.

Mr. Wallace, making a whistle-stop
speech here at 5 p.m. Friday,
was forced to change the
location of his speech from the
county high school athletic field
to the polo field three miles north
on Route 29.

The polo field, however, hes
no seats.

A candidate for president in
1968, Mr. Wallace will arrive
Friday on his way to Danville,
and remain long enough to give
his speech before flying on.

The Albemarle County school
board had rescinded earlier permission
to use the football field,
leaving Mr. Wallace with no
place to deliver the speech.
