'Four By Four'
confronts his psychiatrist
friend, Harve, in a
laundromat, emerging from a
dryer with a bra around his
neck.
Again the change in mood
is a welcome one. Ed Steele,
the author of Virility,
demonstrates an amazing
imagination, providing the
audience with one witty line
after another. However, Patrick
David's direction is weak at
times, never utilizing the entire
stage, and concentrating the
action in one spot throughout
the entire scene.
Each play has its individual
shortcomings, but the good far
outweighs the bad. The talent
evident in all aspects of the
presentations, from writing and
directing to wardrobe and
properties, attests to the
Players' professionalism.
The excellent performances
turned in by Arthur Greene
and company pave the way for
a new and hopefully even more
exciting season next year.
