Films of the Week

A convenient listing of the
week's films. Commercial
schedules may be subject to
change. (Some films shown by
University groups may be
inadvertently omitted. If your
group's film is one of these, we
would appreciate hearing from
you.)

TONIGHT

Fellini's Roma (University;
1;3,5,7, and 9 p.m.; $2 except
4:30 - 5.30 $1). Better than
Satyricon with some
interesting sequences.

The World's Greatest
Athlete
(Barracks Rd.; 1,2:40,
6, 7:40, 9:20 p.m.; $2 except
5:30 - 6:30, $1). Walt Disney.

The Great Northfield
Minnesota Raid
(Ridge
Drive-In; 7 p.m.; $2). Jesse
James and Cole Younger rob a
bank. Better than you'd
expect.

The Swingin' Stewardesses
(Cinema; 2,4,6,8, and 10 p.m.;
$2).

The Train Robbers (Paramount;
1,3,5,7, and 9p.m.; $2)

With John Wayne Anne-Margret
and most importantly Ben
Johnson. Not an inspired film,
but if you like Westerns it
could be interesting.

Adult Late Show (Cinema;
10 p.m.; $2).

WEDNESDAY

Fists in His Pocket (Wilson
Hall; 4:30, 7 and 9 p.m.; series
pass). Marco Bellocchio's first
film is a savage and technically
brilliant film that intersperses
matricide with fratricide and
throws in a little incest for
relief. Bellocchio exhibits one
of the most fluid camera
techniques this side of Max
Ophuls, but despite all the
films virtues one often wonders
if all the energy and techniques
have a final goal.

THURSDAY

Preacherman Meets Widow
Woman
(Cinema; 2,4,6,8,10
p.m.; $2).

Shaft (Wilson Hall; 4:30,
8:00 and 10:30 p.m.; $.75 or
series ticket) If you're looking
for utterly mindless,
non-entertainment this is it.
For an action movie it's
remarkably slow and
uninteresting.

Across 110th Street
(Barracks Rd.; 1, 2:40, 4:20, 6,
7:40, 9:20 p.m.; $2). For
adults.

FRIDAY

International House (Wilson
Hall; 6,8, and 10 p.m.; $.75 or
$1) Even W.C. Fields and
Burns and Allen can't save this
one. It just isn't funny. With
Spook Spoofing starring the
Little Rascals.

Vanishing Point
(Paramount; 1,3,5,7,9; $2
adult, $1 children) with Barry
Newman, Dean Vagger,
Cleavon Little.
