University of Virginia Library

Society Seeks
Book Collectors

The Bibliographical Society will
hold a contest this month for book
collections which have been assembled
by students. All regular students
enrolled in the University on
either a graduate or undergraduate
level may enter.

Cash prizes will be awarded for
two categories of collections. A
student collection may be built
around a single writer, an idea, a
genre, or it may be constructed as a
nucleus for a general library. The
second category would include
collections of bibliographical interest.

All those interested in entering
this contest should submit a complete
list of the books in their
collection and a brief statement
about their interest in book collecting
to either William Runge,
Alderman Library, or to Irby B.
Cauthen, Jr., 402 Cabell Hall.

All entries must be submitted by
April 13.
