For more than a year, a
subcommittee on environmental
problems from the University's
Office of Sponsored Programs has
been examining how the University
can best help solve environmental
problems. In addition, a group of
students, faculty and townspeople
is planning a program on environmental
problems for April 19-25.
In disciplinary efforts, the
Center for Housing and Social
Environment is establishing basic
design criteria for large scale

and Innovations in Buildings is
working toward new structural
