Students Celebrate Season
With 'Messiah Sing-In'

To help celebrate the
rapidly-approaching holiday season,
a "Messiah Sing-In" will be held in
Cabell Hall Auditorium tomorrow
evening, beginning at 8.

Anyone familiar with Handel's
"Messiah" is invited to participate
in the singing of the oratorio. There
will be no guest performers as all
solos will be rendered by the
singers en masse.

Don Loach, director of the
University Singers and the
University Glee Club, will direct the
singing effort tomorrow, and there
will be a small string orchestra for
accompaniment.

A fifty cents admission will be
charged to cover the cost of the
music, which will be distributed at
the door. Mr. Loach expressed the
hope that there would be a good
turn-out for the informal concert as
this is the first program of this
nature the music department has
attempted.
Refreshments will be served.
