Maharishi

kind of dialogue between a
representative of the traditional
world of scholarly criticism-a
Doctor of English who attended the
Symposium at the University of
Massachusetts, and Mr. Bob
Cranson, who represents
Maharishi's idea that traditional
academia could expand its'
perceptive horizons while
maintaining its' devotion to
"objectivity."

The Liberal Arts Seminar at the
University will be an exciting one
from the standpoint that SCI and
its proponents will be making
propositions and following them to
logical conclusions without any
dogmatic scruples about what those
conclusions might be. Mr. Cranson
will be constantly on the spot to
make his ideas absolutely clear,
both linguistically and
philosophically. Mr. Cranson claims
that SCI can be "scientifically
delineated;" he offers a vision of
possibilities concerning the use of
the physical nervous system as an
objective tool through which
Creative Intelligence can be
systematically contacted.

The course requires faithful
participation and a paper which is
to be critically intelligent and
creative enough so that it is
interesting. The seminar course
meets on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m.
in Thornton Hall, room A 125.
