O&P Proposes Fund Allocations

The Organizations and
Publications Committee issued
today their final propositions for
allocations of SAC funds for the
fall semester.

Clubs and organizations issuing
requests totaling $17,466 were
granted a total of $7,302 by the
committee.

The Union of University
Students which was formed last
spring during the student strike
received its first allocation from the
SAC funds.

Receiving the largest allocations
in the fall budget were the radio
station WTJU and the Black
American Law Students
Association, who received $1250
and $1047 respectively.

Hugh Antrim, Vice President of
Student Council and Chairman of
the O & P, told The Cavalier Daily
yesterday "This committee, upon
considering budget requests at its
fall hearing, wishes to notify these
groups that any intention to appeal
the allocation must be
communicated to the Student
Council by 5 p.m. November 3."
