Open Campaign
For Choice '68
In response to "Choice '68," a
presidential preference poll to be
held here and at colleges throughout
the country next Wednesday,
a group of students have organized
a "Virginia Collegiates for
Nixon" organization.
This organization, of over fifty
members, has stated its purpose
to be "to encourage support for
Nixon in the Time elections to be
held on campuses throughout the
nation."
"Virginia Collegiates of Nixon"
began several months ago under
the ostensible leadership of Sid
Bowers and Rick Brand.
To join, a student must pay $1
national dues which will provide
the member of all necessary literature,
buttons, and news letters.
"Choice '68," the organization
explains, is a "comprehensive
cross-section of presidential preferences
of American colleges and
universities which should be an
important indication of academic
thinking in the presidential election."
