conduct spectroscopic
molecular studies and to
develop experimental
techniques in undergraduate
research.

"The most outstanding
feature of the grant is that it is
unrestricted in scope," Mr.
Richardson said. "It allows me
to explore the whole creative
spectrum of research."

The grant to Mr.
Richardson, a faculty member
since 1969, also includes an
additional $3,000 for
administrative support of his
work here.

A 1961 graduate of
Dickinson College, Mr.
Richardson received his
master's and doctoral degrees
from Princeton University and
served as a postdoctoral fellow
at the University of California
at San Diego until 1969.
