Law Scholarship

The Root-Tilden
Scholarship at New York
University School of Law
offers both a prestigious
scholarship and a unique
opportunity in legal education,
according to pre-law advisor
Tim Davis.

Supported by a renewable
grant worth approximately
$10,000 over three years, each
Root-Tilden Scholar pursues a
program, of involvement
outside the classroom which
complements the traditional
legal education he said.

The program has asked that
four fourth-year University
students be nominated as
candidates for the scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded
without regard to financial aid,
but additional financial aid
over and above the tuition
award may be granted.

The principal criteria used
in the selection of Root-Tilden
applicants includes not only
grades and LSAT res, but a
candidate's demonstrated
commitment to, and capacity
for, public service.

The deadline for
applications to the program is
not later than December and
applicants should take the
LSAT by Dec. 18 if they
have not yet taken it.

Inquiries concerning the
program should be directed to
Mr. Davis.
