recently passed bill designed to
provide as many as five
thousand health science
students with scholarships.

Curriculum Study

Student Council has
announced that it will publish
again this year a Curriculum
Evaluation Book for courses in
the College of Arts and
Sciences for the fall semester.

The book will be released
and sold in time for the use of
students pre-registering in the
spring for next year's courses.

Inclusion of reviews of
courses in other undergraduate
schools and in Graduate Arts
and Sciences is also being
discussed.

This year's editor-in-chief is
Mark Vorder Bruegge. In
addition, Don Langevoort, last
year's editor, will do research
throughout the year on
curriculum reform, dealing
with subjects such as the
foreign language requirement,
etc.

Council strongly encourages
any student interested in
working on the book to get in
touch with the editor by
calling 924-3454 or 977-2779.

Mitrenka Speaks

Michelle Mitrenka, special
assistant to William
Ruskelshaus, head of the
Environmental Protection
Agency, will speak on
"Cleaning Up the
Environment" tomorrow at
8:00 p.m. in Jefferson Hall.

Miss Mitrenka is the second
of three speakers sponsored by
the University Republican
Club.

ATO Aflame

There was a fire reported in
the Alpha Tau Omega
fraternity house Tuesday
morning. It occurred about 4
a.m. and was first spotted by a
neighbor.

The fire began in the
kitchen and is thought to have
started as a grease fire. Damage
to the kitchen was estimated to
be between $2,000–$3,000.

'Family Life' Is Topic

"Family Life Education
Begins at Birth" will be the
subject of a special meeting
sponsored by the Community
Services Council of
Charlottesville and Albemarle
County.

Mr. Gilbert Wolf, the
Regional Consultant of the
American Social Health
Association, will speak.

The meeting will be held
from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
tomorrow at the Gordon
Avenue Branch of the McIntire
Library.
