Gymnasts Take
Second Spot
Hosting a triangular meet
Saturday, the Virginia Gymnastics
Club placed second behind Virginia
Tech, while Montgomery Junior
College (Takoma Park, Md.)
finished in the third slot.
Tech won the meet with 116.7
points, with Virginia garnering
102.6, the most points ever scored
in one of its meets. Trailing in
points was Montgomery, which
could only pick up 82.5.
Rick Lutz paced the Virginia
contingent with firsts in floor
exercise, side horse, and in parallel
bars, high bar, and third in
long-horse vaulting.
