Ruggers Roll To New York
For Annual Weekend Tilt

The Virginia Rugby Football
Club takes its annual New York
trip this weekend. Saturday afternoon
the ruggers play the Manhattan
Rugby Club in Central
Park. On Sunday there is a match
against the Westchester Rugby
Club.

T Cavaliers made a similar
trip last fall and won both matches.
They hope to return from the
Empire state with two victories to
add to their present mark of 4-0.

Club president Jim Rollins, an
ex-football star from Davidson,
will lead the Cavaliers' experienced
scrum.

Two forwards making the trip
who have helped the Wahoos to
their undefeated record are law
students George McCullum and
John Ashton. Ashton captained
the Williams College football team
th years ago

Julian Rainey will make the New
York roll. H is the leading scorer
for the squad, averaging nine
points per match. Rainey's new
"magic shoes" have kept the Cavaliers
out of the loss column.

The Westchester Club is known
for its rough play. Their tactics
of y-gouging, car twisting and
hair pulling should provide the
undefeated Wahoos with their
roughest competition yet.

Their tactics should be very effective
on their home field of
Bronxville High School.
