Wilhelm Signs

ATLANTA Hoyt Wilhelm, the
oldest player in major league
baseball, signed his 191 contract
Saturday with the Atlanta Braves.
Wilhelm, who was the Braves'
leading relief pitcher last season
with a 3.12 ERA; was elected to
the National League All-Star team
last season. The "Grand Old Man,"
47, will begin his twentieth season
February 22, when the Braves
training camp begins.
