Virginia Maintains Lead

After Saturday's last-minute
win over Maryland, the
Cavalier lacrosse team retained
its number one position in the
two national polls, with Army
second in both.

In the Baltimore Sun poll
the Cavaliers received 48 of a
possible 50 points in the
voting, with the Cadets right
behind with 45.

In the coaches poll, released
by the Associated Press, the
Cavaliers received a perfect
score of 180, while Army had
170. Trailing the two are
Maryland, Navy, Cornell,
Saturday's opponent Hofstra,
Brown, tomorrow's opponent
Washington and Lee. Cortland
State, and Towson State.

Only the top two teams
were known in the Sun poll.
